Mammography Technologist

Under general supervision and according toestablished policies and procedures, operates x-ray equipment to performmammograms; develops film and completes paperwork.

Responsibilities:

• Assists in breast biopsy proceduresto include needle localizations, stereotactic biopsies, and ductograms.
  
• Instructs and positions patients to obtainacceptable radiographs of diagnostic quality.
• Ensures work area meets appropriate standards ofsafety, equipment supply and cleanliness levels.
• Manually enters data ensuring proper preparationfor dictation and billing.

ARRT, RT(M), or equivalent formaltraining as accepted under the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA).
