Overview
Responsible for performing breast imaging procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for receiving and processing mammography orders in accordance with clinical policies ensuring quality patient care.
- Responsible for communicating mammography results to internal providers and external clients through best avenue (oral communication, electronic transmission or via paper).
- Responsible for maintaining quality patient care according to clinical policies to include ensuring patient records requests and processed.
- Responsible for maintaining mammographic equipment.
- Responsible to order and maintain par levels of supplies in inventory on a weekly basis.
- Responsible to effectively use company communication model with all staff and patients.
- Promotes a positive work culture and upholds clinic policies and procedures, including the WE CARE Standards of Behavior.
- Must uphold confidentiality at all times in regards to CBHA activities, reports, financials, patient health information and other proprietary information specific to CBHA.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Professional and Technical Knowledge:
- Completion of certified radiology program as recognized by the State of Washington.
- Ability to work under the full scope of practice that is outlined in the Washington States licensure regulations.
- Possess knowledge in proper lifting and moving of patients when assistance is needed.
- Knowledgeable and maintains compliance with recognized HIPAA regulations.
- Maintains continuing education requirements of licensure.
License and Certification:
- Certified or Registered X-Ray Technician with the State of Washington.
- Credentialed as a mammography technician with the American Registry of Radiographic Technologists.
Travel
- Frequent travel to various clinic sites is required.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet company insurance liability standards to drive company vehicles.
