Overview

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Mammography Technologist to join our team. We are committed to delivering clinical excellence with compassionate, safe, and cost-efficient care and superior service to referring providers and patients.

As a Mammography Technologist, you will operate assigned scanner(s) to produce diagnostic images, guide patients through the exam process, and provide a patient-centered experience in line with professional standards and customer service excellence.

Responsibilities

  1. 90% — Patient Mammography Imaging: Screen patients before exam for precautions or contraindications using two patient identifiers; prepare patients and explain the procedure, including positioning for proper imaging.
  2. Performs routine and advanced Mammography imaging procedures with minimal supervision, while supporting patients verbally throughout the procedure.
  3. Adjusts scan parameters as needed and applies dose-reduction techniques.
  4. Maintain positive working relationships with radiologists, referring physicians, and colleagues.
  5. Follows physicians\' orders and adheres to safety regulations to protect patients and staff.
  6. Accurately maintains patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  7. Keep a clean and orderly work area, promoting safety for patients and staff.
  8. Maintain ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements; ensure equipment is in good working order and disinfected after each use.
  9. Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
  10. 5% — Mammography Department Support: Assist with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades; monitor medical supply inventory and request supplies as necessary; assist with training of new staff as applicable.
  11. 5% — Completes other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing.
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved school of radiography.
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
  • Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform Mammography procedures independently.
  • Certification in imaging specialty.
  • Must have continuing CEUs in modality as required by MQSA or state-specific requirements.

Preferred

  • Bilingual.

Pay and schedule: The pay range for this position is $35-$53 per hour, based on direct and relevant experience. This is a full-time position with five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts, with rotating Saturdays. This role is eligible for a $7k sign-on bonus. DailyPay is offered for this role.
