Base Pay Range: $32.66 - $48.99. Supplemental differential pay of 12% is available. Location: Inland Imaging Tri-Cities, Kennewick, WA.

Summary

Responsible for the operation of dedicated mammography equipment to perform radiologic procedures, including diagnostic and screening studies. The technician must obtain the highest quality radiological exams under the direct or indirect supervision of a radiologist, in accordance with ACR and Inland Imaging guidelines and protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic and screening mammographic studies to ACR standards.
  • Obtain appropriate views for each exam as per radiologist or department protocol.
  • Perform acceptable alternatives when patient condition requires them.
  • Physically assist patients to obtain high‑quality mammogram exams.
  • Apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis.
  • Maintain working knowledge of mammography equipment.
  • Complete exam paperwork, coding for billing, patient data tracking, and patient history documentation.
  • Keep the working area stocked, organized, and clean, including equipment, technologist core area, and exam rooms.
  • Respond to patient requests for information, scheduling, or assistance with other departments.
  • Work within hospital, urgent care, or clinical settings as required.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of patient and company information.
  • Follow all health and safety policies, HIPAA, non‑disclosure, and company security guidelines.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, good personal hygiene, and a pleasant demeanor.
  • Hold a valid state driver’s license and proof of insurance.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, detail orientation, and the ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Engage in self‑directed learning and continuing education through professional journals, approved seminars, etc.
  • Address individual patient needs in communication and care.
  • Adhere to departmental standards by demonstrating professionalism and teamwork.
  • Attend quarterly quality assurance meetings.
  • Rotate to other shifts and locations as needed.

Qualifications

  • Education: AA degree required. Accredited Radiologic Technologist Program or equivalent work‑on‑the‑job experience required.
  • Experience: One to three years as a Radiologic Technologist; MQSA compliant (15 mammography CME’s within last 36 months, 200 mammograms performed within last 24 months, 40 hours of initial digital mammography training, 8 hours of initial training in an additional mammographic modality such as tomosynthesis).
  • Knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and mammography exams.
  • Licensure: Must maintain current Washington State Certified Radiologic Technologist License.
  • Certifications: Registered AART (R) and (M) certificate. Must pass ARRT (M) boards within 12 months of training and be signed off with a current competency checklist.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification required.
  • Computer Skills: Experience with Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite, Workday, Medicalis, PACS, MagView, Internet/Intranet, and Webex is highly desired.
  • Background Check: Must pass a background check required by RCW to work with children under 16 or vulnerable adults. Must not be listed on the List of Excluded Individuals. A post‑offer, pre‑employment drug test is required.
