Mammography Technologist in Long Beach, CA

Step into a vital role in the Mammography Department, delivering essential diagnostic imaging services across the main medical campus. This contract position is ideal for an experienced mammography technologist who thrives in a dynamic environment and values making a difference in patient care.
Schedule and Hours:

• Monday through Friday, with Saturday rotation
• Shift between 7:30 am and 6:00 pm (hours may vary based on department needs)
• 5x8-hour day shifts
• No on-call required
• Floating to various departments within the main campus as needed

Qualifications:

• Current California Mammography Technologist license and CRT (M) required
• ARRT certification highly preferred
• Current BLS certification (required)
• Minimum of 2 years of mammography experience
• Experience with both 2D and 3D mammography, wire localizations, radar localizations, and stereotactic biopsies
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammograms
• Operate advanced imaging technology for both 2D and 3D procedures
• Assist with localizations and biopsies as needed
• Deliver compassionate, patient-focused care throughout all procedures
• Float to other areas in the department or main campus as needed
• Manage a daily caseload of approximately 150 cases with precision and efficiency
• Maintain strict adherence to safety, infection control, and quality standards
