Key Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with Mammography (M) credential required
- Valid state radiologic technologist license in good standing
- Proven experience performing diagnostic mammographic procedures
- Proficiency in using digital mammography systems and performing quality control checks
- Strong understanding of mammography positioning, breast anatomy, and pathology
- Demonstrated ability to ensure patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality at all times
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare professionals
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms following established protocols
- Prepare and position patients accurately for imaging procedures
- Monitor images for diagnostic quality and collaborate with radiologists for optimal results
- Maintain meticulous records of procedures and patient history in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements
- Calibrate and maintain mammography equipment, documenting quality assurance activities
- Educate patients about the procedure, address concerns, and provide support throughout the imaging process
- Adhere strictly to infection control, radiation safety, and HIPAA guidelines
