Ocean Beach Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist with a strong interest or experience in Mammography to join our close-knit imaging team. If you're passionate about women's health, patient-centered care, and meaningful work, this role is for you.

Position Summary

This position is mammography-focused , with opportunities to support additional imaging modalities based on training and department needs.

You Will

  • Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography exams
  • Educate and support patients through often stressful or emotional appointments
  • Ensure patient comfort, safety, and dignity throughout the exam process
  • Collaborate closely with radiologists and providers to deliver accurate, timely results
  • Maintain compliance with radiation safety and quality standardsPrepare and assist patients for mammography and other imaging procedures as assigned

Key Responsibilities

  • Position patients accurately for mammographic imaging
  • Select appropriate technical factors to produce optimal images
  • Operate mammography and radiologic imaging equipment safely and effectively
  • Provide radiation protection in accordance with safety standards
  • Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
  • Practice infection control and sterile techniques
  • Support a culture of patient-centered care, safety, and teamwork
  • Participate in on-call coverage for modalities in which you are trained, as needed
  • Pursue continuing education and complete required training on time

Qualifications

  • ARRT certification required (Mammography certification preferred or willingness to obtain)
  • Washington State Radiologic Technologist license in good standing
  • Current CPR certification
  • Commitment to compassionate, patient-focused care
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
