Mammography Technologist | Full-Time

Position Summary:The Mammography Technologist is responsible for performing mammographic imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis of breast diseases. This role requires a commitment to providing excellent patient care while adhering to safety protocols and industry standards.Key Responsibilities:Perform high-quality mammography examinations in accordance with established protocols.Ensure patient comfort and explain procedures to alleviate anxiety.Maintain and operate mammography equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.Review and evaluate images for technical quality and ensure proper documentation.Collaborate with radiologists and other medical staff to discuss findings and enhance patient care.Adhere to all safety standards and protocols, including the use of protective equipment.Maintain patient records and imaging documentation, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated on technological advancements and best practices in mammography.Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the imaging department.Working Conditions:Radiation exposure; adherence to safety protocols is essential.QualificationsValid certification as a Mammography Technologist (e.g., ARRT certification in Mammography).Current state licensure, or licensure within 12 monthsMinimum of 1 year of experience in mammography preferred.Strong understanding of breast anatomy and pathology.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.Commitment to patient safety and care
