Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center is seeking a Mammography Technologist to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging for patients in our community-focused healthcare system. Responsibilities
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms following established imaging protocols and MQSA/ACR guidelines.
- Position patients accurately and adjust equipment to obtain high-quality, diagnostic images.
- Verify patient identity, review relevant clinical history, and explain procedures to ensure patient understanding and comfort.
- Maintain patient safety and privacy, applying radiation safety principles and ALARA standards.
- Perform daily and periodic quality control tests on mammography equipment and communicate any equipment issues promptly.
- Document procedures accurately in the electronic medical record and ensure proper labeling and image management.
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other technologists to support efficient patient flow and coordinated care.
- Assist with compliance for mammography accreditation, regulatory requirements, and SPRHC policies.
- Provide compassionate, culturally sensitive care to patients, addressing questions and concerns professionally.
- Participate in ongoing education, training, and performance improvement initiatives within the imaging department.
