Mammography Tech
Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs routine and diagnostic mammography at a highly technical level, not requiring constant supervision. Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgement and ingenuity to apply prescribed ionizing radiation in order to obtain a radiologic diagnosis. Assist the Radiologist and/or surgeon during minimally invasive biopsy procedures. Maintain Quality Control standards and documentation. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Satisfactory completion of an AMA accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
- Minimum three (3) years experience in all areas of mammography to include stereotactic biopsy and needle localization.
- Digital mammography experience preferred.
- Registered by and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and the Florida Bureau of Radiation Control in the Discipline of Radiology (R) and Mammography (M)
- Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and customer service skills required.
- Competent in quality control measures (MQSA)
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
