Travel Mammography Technologist (Mammography Rad Tech) - Eureka, California

  • Shift: Day shift, 8-hour schedule (08:00 - 17:30)
  • Hours Per Week: 40
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,060 - $2,210

  • Setting: Mammography and diagnostic breast imaging
  • Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
  • Charting System: Epic preferred
Job Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of mammography or radiology experience required
  • Valid California Radiologic Technologist license in hand
  • ARRT (M) certification required
  • ARRT (R) certification required
  • BLS certification required
  • Previous travel technologist experience required
  • Experience with Epic preferred
  • Strong knowledge of radiation safety, universal precautions, and patient privacy standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare imaging setting while maintaining accuracy and compassion
Responsibilities
  • Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms with attention to image quality, accuracy, and patient comfort
  • Assist with stereotactic biopsy procedures and needle localization support as needed
  • Carry out digital mammography and 3D mammography procedures
  • Maintain high standards for quality assurance, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance
  • Prepare patients for exams and educate them on procedures with professionalism and empathy
  • Follow infection control and PPE guidelines at all times
  • Collaborate with the radiology team to support efficient workflow and timely breast imaging services
  • Float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities when needed
