To support a growing fundraising initiative, the full-time salaried Major Gifts Officer - CA will build and execute a comprehensive major gifts strategy, focusing on securing significant donations from high-capacity donors and family foundations across a multi-state region, primarily the San Francisco Bay Area, while working remotely. Key responsibilities Secure five-, six-, and seven-figure gifts from individuals and family foundations to support the organization's mission Manage a portfolio of 75 donors, leveraging wealth analytics to identify and cultivate new prospects Maintain an active schedule of moves management, engaging donors through various communication methods and events Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred 5+ years of experience in individual, foundation, and corporate giving, with at least 2 years as a frontline fundraiser Proven ability to strategically engage major gift prospects and increase donor contributions year-over-year Solid knowledge of IRS guidelines for charitable contributions and charity accountability standards Proficiency with donor database software such as Raiser's Edge and Microsoft Office Suite
