Focused on building strong donor relationships, the full-time remote Major Gift Officer will manage a portfolio of approximately 140 donors, advancing mid-level supporters into major gift giving while developing and executing strategic engagement plans to enhance donor retention and philanthropic revenue. Key responsibilities Manage a portfolio of donors through qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies, aiming for a revenue target of approximately $1.4M-$2M Identify and cultivate mid-level donors to develop a sustainable pipeline for future major gifts Collaborate with program and development staff to align donor interests with organizational priorities and funding opportunities Required qualifications Commitment to the organization's mission and environmental advocacy Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience 5+ years of nonprofit fundraising or development experience, with at least 3 years focused on major gifts Demonstrated experience managing donor portfolios and securing major gifts Ability to travel domestically up to 30% of the time
