Other duties may be required and assigned.Performs utility field work related to Public Works maintenance and repair. Divisions include sanitation, streets, parks and recreation, and distribution/collectionAssist field crews with installation, repair, maintenance of parks, city streets, residential and commercial pick up, and water/wastewater infrastructureDrive and operate heavy equipment for divisional maintenance/repair activitiesServices equipment and City vehicles with water, gas, oil and air.May be required to work in other Public Works divisions as neededOperate equipment/tools such as pipe saws, cutters, wrenches, weed eaters, mowers, and other various items, etc.Knowledge Skills And AbilitiesKnowledge and skill in the use of hand tools, machines and other similar equipment used for divisional purposes.Ability to repair and maintain mechanical equipment.Ability to perform moderate physical labor.Ability to understand & follow simple oral and/or written instructions.Typical QualificationsMinimum Required QualificationsMust have high school diploma/GEDMust have valid driver's licenseMust have driving record sufficient for coverage by City's auto liability carrierPhysical & Work EnvironmentThe physical and work environment characteristics described in this description are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
