Fralock is headquartered in Valencia, CA with manufacturing locations located throughout Northern and Southern California.ObjectiveTo provide technical leadership and expert-level maintenance support across the manufacturing facility, ensuring maximum equipment uptime, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and mentoring junior technicians to achieve operational excellence.Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Production Maintenance Technician - Level 3 to join our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. In this advanced role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining complex automated production machinery and facility equipment.The ideal candidate acts as a technical leader on the floor, mentoring junior technicians, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring maximum equipment uptime with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.Key ResponsibilitiesAdvanced Troubleshooting & Repair: Perform complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting on high-speed automated manufacturing equipment and robotics.Preventative & Predictive Maintenance (PM/PdM): Execute advanced PM schedules, thermal imaging, vibration analysis, and other predictive maintenance routines to prevent unplanned downtime.Equipment Installation & Upgrades: Lead the installation, calibration, and commissioning of new production lines, machinery, and facility upgrades.PLC & Automation Support: Troubleshoot and diagnose issues using Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), HMIs, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and servo systems (make minor program edits or force I/Os as needed).Technical Leadership & Mentoring: Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and provide hands-on training, guidance, and mentorship to Level 1 and Level 2 maintenance technicians.Continuous Improvement (CI): Participate in Lean manufacturing, 5S, and Root Cause Problem Solving (RCPS / 5-Why / Fishbone) initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), arc flash standards, OSHA regulations, and PPE requirements. Maintain accurate documentation in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).Required SkillsTechnical Expertise: Advanced mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair capabilities.Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting complex electrical schematics, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and mechanical blueprints.Hands-on experience with PLC diagnostics, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and industrial automation controls.Competency in predictive maintenance methodologies (e.g., thermal imaging, vibration analysis).Core Competencies: Strong analytical and root-cause problem-solving skills under high-pressure breakdown scenarios.Effective leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills for training and mentoring junior staff.Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple complex repair tasks and project timelines simultaneously.Commitment to strict safety standards, industrial compliance, and quality workmanship.Qualifications & RequirementsEducation: High School Diploma or GED required.

Associate's degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related technical certification is strongly preferred.Experience: Minimum of 5 to 8+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience within a fast-paced manufacturing, automotive, or similar production environment.Technical Proficiencies: Deep expertise in mechanical systems (gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, pumps).Strong electrical aptitude (ability to read schematics, troubleshoot 480V 3-phase systems, control circuits, and DC power supplies).Familiarity with PLC hardware and troubleshooting software (e.g., Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, Siemens).Proficiency with pneumatic and hydraulic schematics and components.Software Skills: Working knowledge of CMMS platforms (e.g., Maximo, Fiix) and Microsoft Office Suite.Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, bend, stoop, climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and regularly lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to work required shifts, on-call rotations, and overtime as needed.Working ConditionsEnvironment: Performed in a demanding manufacturing and production floor environment, involving frequent exposure to noise levels, moving mechanical parts, heavy machinery, and varying seasonal temperatures.Safety Equipment: Required to wear mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times, including safety glasses with side shields, steel-toe boots, arc flash protection gear when applicable, and hearing protection. Strict adherence to LOTO and high-voltage safety procedures is required.Schedule & Hours: Full-time position.

Requires flexibility to support varying shifts, scheduled weekend shutdowns, emergency call-ins for critical equipment failures, and overtime to meet production demands.Key Contacts & InteractionsInternal Contacts: Maintenance Management & Engineering: Collaborate directly with engineering teams, manufacturing management, and plant leadership on capital projects, reliability improvements, and complex equipment failures.Production Supervisors & Operators: Coordinate machine downtime, planned maintenance windows, and operational handoffs across shifts.Maintenance Team (Level 1 & 2): Provide daily technical direction, training, coaching, and mentorship to junior technicians.External Contacts:
