Maintenance TechnicianKoch Fertilizer Wever, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team in Wever, Iowa. This is an opportunity to directly impact plant reliability and production performance in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.In this role, you will take ownership of maintaining and improving the performance of critical equipment across the facility. You will troubleshoot complex mechanical issues, support installation efforts, and help drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance reliability and safety.We are looking for someone who is hands-on, motivated to solve problems, and takes pride in seeing equipment run reliably.
As you build capability and demonstrate results, you will have the opportunity to expand your impact and grow within the organization.This role supports a continuous manufacturing operation and will require working rotating shifts, overtime, call-outs, and schedule flexibility during planned or unplanned outages. The typical schedule for this position is 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week on a rotating schedule.Responsibilities include:Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment issues to minimize downtime and maintain safe, reliable operationsPerform preventative and predictive maintenance on rotating and fixed equipment such as pumps, motors, conveyors, valves, and piping systemsIdentify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrenceAssist with installation, alignment, and startup of new or modified equipmentCollaborate with operations and engineering teams to prioritize maintenance activities and improve equipment performanceIdentify hazards, follow safe work practices, and take action to prevent incidentsIdentify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, reduce costs, and enhance maintenance processesMaintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standardsQualifications include:Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment in an industrial or manufacturing environmentWilling and able to meet all physical requirements of the role:Work outdoors in all weather conditionsBend, kneel, lift up to 50 pounds, and climb ladders (including heights up to 100 feet)Willing and able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)Experience working with rotating and/or fixed equipment in a manufacturing or industrial environmentExperience diagnosing and resolving electrical and/or instrumentation issuesFertilizer, chemical, or heavy industrial manufacturing experienceDemonstrated ability to improve equipment reliability or maintenance processesTechnical training, certification, or degree in industrial maintenance or related fieldAt Koch, employees are empowered to do what they do best to make life better.
