Document activity as requiredMaintain and repair motorized equipmentOperate manlifts and forklifts; transport heavy parts and equipment and perform inspections on trucks. Coordinates PM service with vendorIdentify needed parts to repair equipment and facilityComplete required paperwork to order new parts and to track existing partsCoordinate maintenance of parts inventory with production and purchasing personnelFabricate metal parts (e.g. brackets); perform welding as required, orders materials and supplies as neededPerform basic to moderately complex electrical repairs and installationsCoordinate service calls and repairsComplete daily forklift safety/damage inspection checksPerform grounds/facilities repairs as neededPerform other related duties and assignments as requiredMaintain supplies at workstation; Keep tools organized, batteries chargedTrain other Maintenance AssociatesTrain other plant associates on equipment and proceduresRespond to on-call emergencies as neededAttend weekly shift meetings and/or monthly plant meetings, if requiredActively participate in all plant safety programs, tasks as assignedPosition requires walking, standing, heavy lifting, bending, and twistingMust have correctable hearing and eyesightMust be able to pass colorblindness test and be able to keep colors separateAbility to learn basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills with on-the-job trainingAbility to work well with othersAbility to work with some limited supervision to perform jobMust be skilled in working with hand and electrical toolsWorking ConditionsManufacturing plant environment with exposure to equipment noise, temperature extremes, and dustWork involves exposure to high voltage equipment and rapidly moving machinerySafetySafe work performance is required from each associate at all timesPerform all duties and responsibilities safely in accordance with applicable Health and Safety ManualsRequired to wear or use personal protective equipment as applicable and to immediately report unsafe working conditionsComply with all legislative requirements as outlined by Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
