Maintenance TechnicianWe are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production equipment and facility systems. This role is responsible for maintaining equipment reliability, supporting production operations, and ensuring compliance with safety, food safety, and company standards. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, works well independently and as part of a team, and is committed to maintaining a safe and efficient manufacturing environment.Essential Responsibilities:Equipment MaintenancePerform preventive maintenance on production equipment according to established schedules.Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and complete repairs to minimize equipment downtime.Routinely inspect equipment to identify potential failures and recommend corrective actions.Perform equipment setup prior to production and teardown following production.Assemble and disassemble production equipment for maintenance and repair.Facility & Utility MaintenanceInspect plant utility systems to identify potential equipment failures.Maintain facility areas outside of production in accordance with the Master Sanitation Plan.Support overall facility maintenance and repair activities as assigned.Equipment OperationSafely operate maintenance tools, measuring instruments, and fabrication equipment.Operate gas cutting and welding equipment safely.Operate forklifts and manual/electric pallet jacks (plant certification required).Follow all Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and maintain certification.DocumentationComplete maintenance work orders and preventive maintenance records within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and company records.Utilize equipment manuals and technical documentation to support repairs and troubleshooting.Requirements:Required Skills & Qualifications:Industrial machine repair and maintenancePreventive and predictive maintenanceMechanical troubleshooting and repairElectrical troubleshooting and repairHydraulic and pneumatic systemsMechanical, electrical, and pneumatic schematic interpretationFabrication and weldingLubrication and filtration systemsAsset management and equipment reliabilityDiagnostic and problem-solving skillsExperience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)Ability to prioritize and complete work assignments independentlyStrong commitment to workplace safety and food safety standardsEducation & Experience:High school diploma or GED required.Trade school certification preferred.Minimum of 6 years of related industrial maintenance experience.Working knowledge of: Industrial machine repair Electrical systems Mechanical measurements Manufacturing equipment maintenance
