Maintenance TechnicianThis role will be responsible for the maintenance and appearance of attractions. The Maintenance Technician will assist with facilitating the repair and maintenance of attractions and any associated equipment. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.ResponsibilitiesPerform track and go-kart repairs and performance checksMaintain go-kart performanceRepair equipment, troubleshoot issues, and maintain the attraction(s) in superior working orderMaintain accurate documentation of repairs and parts inventoryResponsible for maintaining weekly, monthly, and annual preventative maintenance schedules on all equipment and ensure schedules are carried outResponsible for maintaining work area and back end in a neat and orderly mannerMaintain a safe work environment and ensure all staff follows all safety rulesMaintain supply of tools and machineryEnsure the go-kart pit, go-kart shop and track areas remain clean and safeAssist the staff with track operationsPerform facility cleaning and maintenance duties as assignedAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsRead, interpret diagnostics from manualsAccept other maintenance duties to include, but are not limited to, building maintenance and help with general maintenance of other attractionsOther duties as assignedQualificationsMust be at least 18 years of ageHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); auto mechanic technical training or six (6) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceWeekends are a must!Mechanical repair experience in the go-kart, golf kart or motorcycle field preferredAbility to handle a wide variety of tasks and repairsExperience using multi-meter to check continuity – checks fuses and batteriesAbility to read and understand technical manualsPhysical RequirementsWork in noisy, fast-paced environment with distracting conditionsMove about facility and stand for long periods of time (over 2/3 of the time)Standing, kneeling, bending, walking, reaching above shoulder, pushing and pullingRequires ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 300 lbs.
