Starting wage is $16.00/hour.This position will need to be available any day of the week including weekends & holidays.Most major repairs are contracted out to a vendor so this is a great position for someone with a mechanical mindset, but you don't need to be certified or be an expert in any trade area.What you can expect from us:Join an exciting, team-building, and career-oriented work environmentFull benefits package available after 60 days401k available starting 10/1/2026PTO available after 1 yearRoom discounts at all Regency Hotel Management locationsFood and Retail discounts at all ten (10) Great Ohio Lodges locationsOpportunities for ongoing Training and Career DevelopmentResponsibilities:Handle general room calls (TV's, Lights, plumbing, heating/cooling etc.)Complete small projects as directed (including but not limited to: painting, drywall patching, general carpentry, general plumbing)Test and maintain pools and hot tubsDrain hot tubs nightly, clean and refillAssist guests and visitors with any needs on 3rd shift such as extra pillows, blankets, towels or other amenitiesAdjust computer set points for lodge temperature controlPick up trash in and around the facilityMaintain the grounds around lodge and cabins when needed including snow removal during the winter monthsPerform repairs and test equipment, ranging from HVAC and refrigeration units to kitchen equipment, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, sheet metal, tile repair, roof repair, welding, painting, masonry and appliances in a safe and timely mannerProperly complete the daily Maintenance Requests and/or log sheets and turns them in to the supervisorMaintain a presence throughout the hotel on the 3rd shift by making rounds of the guest wings, kitchen, banquets and other areas of the hotelPerforms snow plowing duties during the winterAssists with any security or fire alarm issues during the 3rd shiftClean and maintain maintenance shop and all mechanical roomsAssist with other departmental needs when assigned.Any other duty as assigned by the Chief Engineer or General ManagerQualifications:Must be at least 18 years of agePossess a valid driver's licenseAbility to professionally and tactfully communicate with guestsAbility to multi-taskAbility to work 3rd shift, weekends and holidaysMust be able to stand and walk for long periods of timeGeneral knowledge in plumbing, electricity, HVAC and carpentryGeneral knowledge of power tools, lawn tools and snow removal toolsAbility to repeatedly and continuously bend, reach, lift, push, and twistAbility to lift and carry items weighing between 20 and 60 pounds per dayAbility to interact with guests in order to assure satisfactionPrevious maintenance or general contractor experience preferredMust have sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks within service time frames established by the companyMust be able to perform tasks in a safe manner and adhere to company policyPhysical Requirements: This is a very physical position that requires stamina to be able to stand and walk for long periods and at times long distances.
