Maintenance Technician - 3rd shift

Our client, a food manufacturing company, is looking to hire a Maintenance Technician in Oak Creek, WI.


Pay Rate Range: $39.59 – $42.63/hour, depending on experience

Schedule: 3rd Shift, Sunday–Thursday, 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM


Responsibilities:


  • Perform predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance on high-speed production and packaging equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and automated systems, including robotic and PLC-controlled equipment.
  • Diagnose equipment failures and implement effective repairs to minimize production downtime.
  • Support production teams during equipment setup, changeovers, adjustments, and troubleshooting.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain gears, pumps, motors, VFDs, safety systems, and related production equipment.
  • Perform PLC diagnostics and basic ladder logic troubleshooting using Siemens and Allen-Bradley systems.
  • Participate in Kaizen events, root cause failure analyses (RCFA), and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Apply Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and reliability-centered maintenance principles to improve equipment reliability.
  • Use CMMS/EAM software to schedule, document, track, and complete maintenance work orders.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while following all company safety and quality procedures.
  • Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned.


Requirements:


  • 2+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment; food production experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance or a related field preferred.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and automation troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with robotic and PLC-controlled production equipment.
  • Knowledge of gears, pumps, motors, VFDs, and industrial safety systems.
  • Knowledge of PLC diagnostics and basic ladder logic programming, preferably with Siemens and Allen-Bradley systems.
  • Understanding of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and reliability-centered maintenance.
  • Experience using CMMS/EAM software to manage maintenance work orders.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform root cause analysis.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement.
