This position supports day-to-day operations by responding to maintenance requests, performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues, and completing repairs in a safe, timely, and professional manner.The ideal candidate is dependable, mechanically inclined, hands-on, and solutions-oriented, with basic construction and repair experience, strong problem-solving abilities, and a willingness to learn new systems and skills.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform general maintenance and repair work for restaurants, warehouse/distribution facilities, grounds, fleet vehicles, and company equipmentTroubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, drywall, flooring, lighting, doors, locks, shelving, and basic mechanical systemsAssist with maintenance and repair of restaurant equipment, warehouse equipment, and company vehicles/trucksPerform preventative maintenance inspections and routine service to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifeRespond promptly to maintenance requests, emergencies, and operational issues across all company locationsAssess maintenance problems, determine appropriate solutions, and communicate recommendations to the Operations or Facilities ManagerAssist with new store openings, remodels, warehouse projects, equipment installations, and facility improvementsSafely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and maintenance equipmentCoordinate with outside vendors, contractors, and property management companies when neededMaintain security-related systems including lighting, alarms, cameras, locks, and access systemsMaintain organized maintenance records, work orders, inventory, and repair documentationIdentify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, preventative maintenance, and equipment replacementEnsure all work is completed in compliance with company safety policies and applicable regulationsMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environmentSupport team members and assist other departments as operational needs ariseOther Duties and ResponsibilitiesOther duties as assignedRequirementsQualifications and SkillsValid driver's license with a clean driving record, must be insurable.Basic construction, maintenance, or mechanical repair experience requiredExperience working in restaurant, warehouse, commercial, or industrial environments preferredGeneral knowledge of building systems including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, and equipment repairMechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment, systems, and repair techniquesStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independentlyAbility to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing prioritiesComfortable working in fast-paced environments and handling emergency maintenance situationsAbility to read manuals, instructions, and work ordersStrong communication and teamwork skillsBasic computer and smartphone skills for communication, work orders, and documentation preferredForklift, scissor lift, or maintenance certifications are a plus but not requiredPhysical Requirements and Job ConditionsAbility to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 poundsAbility to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in tight or awkward spaces for extended periodsAbility to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperaturesAbility to safely operate tools, equipment, and company vehiclesMay require occasional after-hours, weekend, or emergency response work depending on operational needsFrequent travel between company locations requiredOtherThis is an on-site position and is not eligible for remote work or telecommutingSchedule flexibility may be required based on business and emergency maintenance needsTraining opportunities available for candidates with strong work ethic and willingness to learnIdeal Sushi Supply is an equal opportunity employer and considers qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or protected veteran status.
