Facility Maintenance TechnicianGreer's is seeking a dependable and self-motivated Facility Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep and operational integrity of our retail store locations and commercial properties. This full-time position requires daily travel between store locations across Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida, with no overnight travel expected. The technician will serve as the first point of contact for facility-related issues, assessing conditions on-site and reporting findings to the Maintenance Coordinator to determine whether repairs can be handled in-house or require an outside contractor.Key ResponsibilitiesRespond to submitted work orders and conduct on-site assessments at assigned store locationsEvaluate maintenance and repair needs across building systems including general structure, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, and HVACReport assessment findings to the Maintenance Coordinator with clear documentation of issue scope and recommended course of actionPerform in-house repairs and routine maintenance tasks as directedOperate and perform basic maintenance on small engine-powered equipmentCoordinate with the Maintenance Coordinator when outside vendor involvement is requiredMaintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment at all locationsTravel between store locations across the assigned regionQualificationsPrior experience in facility maintenance, building trades, general construction, or a related field preferredGeneral working knowledge of building systems including HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, and structural maintenanceExperience operating and servicing small engine equipmentStrong observational and problem-solving skills; ability to assess issues and communicate findings accuratelyValid driver's license with a clean driving record requiredAbility to travel between multiple locations throughout the workdayReliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervisionPhysical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods
