REI is part of the Ricoh global family, with an enviable track record of superior products and business practices.REI is seeking a 1st shift Electromechanical Maintenance Technician to support Thermal Mixing production operations at our Lawrenceville manufacturing facility. This Maintenance Tech will be responsible for maintaining chemical batch-making equipment, including piping systems, pumps, agitators, and mills. The successful candidate will use hands-on experience, technical knowledge, and sound judgment to troubleshoot issues, complete maintenance activities, and help keep production running safely and efficiently.The Electromechanical Maintenance Tech will:Model the "safety first" behaviors we expect of all associates by ensuring that operational procedures, equipment, and processes are designed to provide a safe work environment.Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electromechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process, including pumps, agitators, mills, and chemical batch-making equipment. Perform operational tests and fault isolations on systems and equipment.Dismantle, adjust, repair, assemble and/or rebuild equipment, electronic system circuitry and computerized systems according to layout plans, blueprints, manuals, rough sketches or drawings. Perform routine maintenance of manufacturing equipment according to manuals.Perform preventive maintenance following prescribed maintenance schedule. Maintain logs and records indicating malfunctions.Perform equipment modifications related to manufacturing support tasks as directed by engineers, including installing electrical conduits, wires, sensors, and controls per specifications.Assist in training new employees and aid employees with questions regarding work standards.QualificationsTechnical/other training or better.Minimum of 3 to 5 related experience. At least 3 years of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience (e.g. PLC and relay systems).
Experience in troubleshooting basic electrical circuit systems. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers common fraction and decimals. Read, write, speak and understand English. Basic computer skills.Experience maintaining and troubleshooting chemical batch-making equipment such as piping systems, pumps, agitators, mills, and related controls preferred.
