People Caring For And About People.Your Role as a Maintenance Tech: The Maintenance Tech is responsible for the maintenance of the facility and its equipment as directed by the Maintenance Director, to protect the health and safety of all residents, personnel and the public in accordance with all state and federal regulationsResponsible for assisting with the maintenance of all mechanical, electric and plumbing systems and patient care equipment in a safe operating condition to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for residents, guests and staffResponsible for completing basic maintenance work including but not limited to drywall, painting, plumbing, landscaping.Responsible for following the preventative maintenance program and quality assurance program to ensure the safe operation of the facility and equipment.Required to be on-call for emergencies and/or problem situations and coordinate a timely responseWhat We're Looking For:Must have a minimum of a high school educationPrior experience in building maintenance preferredCertifications or licenses in plumbing or electrical are a plusExcellent problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize tasksExcellent customers service and communication skillsAbility to follow written and verbal instructions and, to work independently and as a part of a teamAbility to remain calm and cope with the mental and emotional stress of the positionMust be in good general health and free of communicable diseasesMust have visual acuity and ability to hear, with or without use of prostheticsMust have the physical ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and move intermittently throughout the shift, as well as the ability to climb and descend stairs, use elevator and assist residentsMust have the physical ability to lift, push, pull and move equipment in excess of fifty pounds and stand for extended period of timeMust have the ability to read, write and speak the English languageYour Next Step Starts Here!
