Maintenance SupervisorThe Maintenance Supervisor will act as an educator to train and develop current and new team members when processes or conditions change, and when discussing performance expectations with direct reports. To ensure success, maintenance supervisors should display strong problem solving and decision-making skills with a solid understanding of manufacturing equipment maintenance, repairs, rebuilds, cleaning and operation.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Onboard Maintenance Department StaffRepair Project ManagementPerforms Departmental AuditsPM Safety Repair ActivitiesManages Departmental libraries OPL Manuals Trouble LogsEnsure all employees follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)Maintain safe working practicesUnderstand, write, and enforce manufacturing equipment maintenance proceduresEnsure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by ensuring team is completing maintenance requirements (both planned and unplanned) on production, packaging, processing equipment, and facilities, including equipment and line changeoversDemonstrate creative problem solving to identify and perform equipment improvementsEnsure equipment is repaired properly and completely to maximize performance and life cycleParticipate in special projects on equipment upgrades or installationsUtilize the specialized technical knowledge each team member possesses to best perform departmental tasking as well as cross training individuals through team upsPractice plant safety guidelines always and enforce them as a part of cultureDemonstrate root-cause problem solving to identify and perform equipment repairs and improvementsRead and interpret schematics for process and instrumentation diagrams, and bill of materials (parts lists)Communicate across shifts, departments, and management regarding any challenges and opportunities on the production linesPerform other duties as assignedQualifications & Requirements:High school diploma or GEDMust be able to stand, walk, kneel, and bend as required for the entire shiftMust be able to lift 50 poundsMust be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidaysDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written to resolve issues across multiple departments and levels of the organizationExperience with Microsoft Office ProductsExperience with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)Ability to troubleshootExcellent attention to detailExperience with sanitary pipes, fittings, and valves.Experience with Fluid Power - pneumatic, hydraulic, pumps, valvesExperience with Power Transmission – gear, Sprockets, Chains, PulliesAbility to read and interpret schematics: electrical, hydraulic, and pneumaticProficient skills with precision measuring equipment, such as multi meter, calipers, flow, temp, and other analog process devicesWillingness to be a technical leader and trainer within the Maintenance department7 years of experience supervising in a food and beverage maintenance environment4 years of experience in one of the following beverage manufacturing fields: brewing, extracting, bottling, packaging, or beverage processing4 years of experience with automated equipment, (siemens platform)Experience with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement initiativesExperience with the following technologies: Variable frequency drive (VFD), sensors: photo eyes, level, pressure, flowBeverage processing equipment: brewing, extraction, admix, filling: rotary fillers, bag filling, Form fill sealManufacturing lines and changeovers: bottling, bags, pails, totesHVAC including boilers, chillers, and air compressorsPhysical Demands:Ability to work beyond regularly scheduled hours during peak periods or critical operationsMust possess adequate vision, hearing, and verbal communication skills to meet essential job performance and safety standards.Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and regularly perform physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, lifting, climbing, bending, stooping, squatting, and using hands for detailed tasksPhysically capable of performing tasks such as lifting, climbing, and using hand and power tools, including pallet jacks, scales, ladders, and standard material handling and cleaning equipmentCapable of safely lifting up to 50 pounds frequently throughout the day; ability to handle heavier items with proper lifting equipment or team-assisted techniques to ensure safetyWork Environment:Employees must be able to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment that may include exposure to odors, dust, moderate noise levels, and fluctuations in temperature and ventilationAppropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times, which may include but is not limited to: safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, gloves, hairnets, uniforms, and face shields, as required by specific job duties and safety protocolsAbility to work in elevated positions, at up to 50 feet and using proper safety precautionsMust be able to work in limited or cramped spaces and extend arms into machinery for inspection, cleaning, or maintenance tasks, while following all established safety protocolsQuality Statement:Our Quality and Food Safety Management strategy is anchored by our food safety and quality culture and a two-pronged approach to "be the best" as we produce "only the best".
