The Maintenance Supervisor will directly supervise and coordinate the activities of all maintenance personnel responsible for the maintenance of such.
This includes support and coordination of the following activities in accordance with the maintenance strategy and SHE management expectations: Preventative maintenance, mechanical integrity, process safety management, training of maintenance personnel and coordination of outside contractors.Key Responsibilities:Comply with site Safety, Emergency, Operational, Security, Quality and Environmental procedures relating to all Maintenance engineering/project/commissioning on site, both self and teamCoordinate maintenance activities with Production department to insure optimum utilization of all equipmentDirect supervision of maintenance personnel on a day-to-day basisMaintain and improve preventative maintenance and mechanical integrity programsMonitor employee's work levels and review work performanceDevelop, implement, and evaluate maintenance policies and proceduresOversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specificationsInvestigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operationDirect and make recommendations to maintenance crewRecommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctionsEnsure proper care in the use of and maintenance of equipment and suppliesPromote continuous improvementEnsure the Workshop facility is managed to good housekeeping standardsPerform skilled repair and maintenance operations, using equipment necessaryInspect, test and measure completed work to ensure proper utilization of equipmentCompute estimates and actual costs of factors such as materials, labor, and outside contractorsInterpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to construct templates and lay out reference points for workersCounsel employees about work-related issues and assist employees to correct job-skill deficienciesInspect and monitor work areas, examine tools and equipment, and provide employee safety training to prevent, detect and correct unsafe conditions or violations of procedures and safety rulesSupport OSHA and all other safety and environmental regulationsDirect and coordinate outside contractorsAssist in the procurement of equipment and maintenance purchasesAssist in conducting accident / incident investigationsLeads a maintenance team including techniciansAssists with constructive and timely performance evaluations.Assists HR in performance coaching, investigations and conflict resolutions.Other duties as assignedFlexible 40-hour scheduleAvailable for OT and frequent weekends as neededRequired Knowledge/Skills/Abilities :Maintenance and planning background in strong auditing or regulatory industryExcellent interpersonal skillsCommunication and stakeholder managementAnalytical and strong organizational skillsProficient knowledge and skill of computer operation specifically in Microsoft Office Suite, and Maintenance Work Order systemsTeam player and leadership competencyProject management skillsExcellent aptitude in electronics, PLC skillsAbility to respond quickly to minimize downtime of production equipmentKnowledge of OSHA regulationsExperience with EPA related issuesEducation and Experience :High school diploma or equivalent5years of experience in Industrial Manufacturing MaintenancePhysical Requirements:Must be able to lift 50 pounds as neededFrequently positions self to use/maintain personal protective equipmentProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerComfortable with working in a manufacturing environment alongside machines, equipment, etc.Ability to detect, distinguish, or determine the source of a smellExposure or works around chemical processing, unregulated temperature, dusty conditionsDesired Qualifications:Associate degree or higher in Mechanical and / or Electrical Engineering or equivalent3-5 years supervisory / management experience in a maintenance environmentProject management skillsExcellent aptitude in electronics, PLC skillsAbility to respond quickly to minimize downtime of production equipmentKnowledge of OSHA regulationsExperience with EPA related issuesTravel Requirements:Time spent away from home or typical office location.0% 10% 20% 30% 40% 50% or moreFirst Shift: 7AM - 4PM, Monday - Friday
