This job is full-time permanent.Maintenance SupervisorReporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the key functions of the Maintenance Supervisor are to lead efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment. Candidate must have a personal dedication to safety, including proactive support of efforts to create a culture of safety excellence.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Supervise and support a crew of Journey-level Mechanical and/or Electrical-Instrumentation (EI) employees; identify & implement improvements in process & equipment reliability across their area of the Mill by working closely with operations & maintenance personnel; provide technical assistance, reliability leadership/support; responsible for rotating on-call responsibilities; review requests for work, initiate and/support work planning activity & oversee the work order flow to completion.Minimum Qualifications:Technical/trade school diploma with emphasis in mechanical technology and a minimum of two (2) years of maintenance supervision experience --OR-- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and one (1) year of maintenance supervision experienceA personal dedication to safety, including proactive support of efforts to create a culture of safety excellenceSafety & team oriented with a good work ethic, positive attitude & the ability to lead a crew of Mechanics to complete assigned taskFamiliar with reliability-centered maintenance practices & predictive maintenance tools, including but not limited to vibration analysis, thermography, lube analysis, ultrasonic analysis & failure analysis techniquesStrong equipment & system troubleshooting aptitudeGood written & oral communication skills needed to effectively communicate technical activities across all levels of the organizationFrequent walking, climbing ladders & stairs; crawling into confined spaces; measure/lift/carry objects of varying weightsExposure to dust, heat, dirt, grease, chemicals, noise, various weather conditions & other industrial environmentsUse of PPE & respiratory protection is requiredAble & willing to support the demands of a 24/7 operationDesired Qualifications:Technical/trade school diploma with emphasis in mechanical technology and a minimum of five (5) years of maintenance supervision experience --OR-- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and two (2) years of maintenance supervision experienceExperience with SAP Enterprise system which includes Plant Maintenance management processesVibration Analysis – ISO Category I CertificationLubrication Engineer/Analyst trainingReliability centered maintenance trainingPulp and Paper experiencePresentation Skills – able to work with diverse group of people to resolve issuesMicrosoft Office Products experienceWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.
