Maintenance Supervisor
A manufacturing operation is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead daily maintenance activities while driving equipment reliability, employee safety, and operational performance. This position will oversee maintenance technicians, coordinate preventive maintenance efforts, and help foster a safe, proactive maintenance culture throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support maintenance technicians on all shifts as needed.
- Coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment issues.
- Ensure maintenance work is completed in compliance with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Promote a strong safety culture through safe work practices, risk identification, and employee coaching.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
- Support lockout/tagout, machine guarding, and other safety programs to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain maintenance records, work orders, and spare parts inventory.
- Partner with production and plant leadership to prioritize maintenance activities and improve overall plant performance.
- Assist with capital projects, equipment installations, and process improvements.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of maintenance leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills involving mechanical and electrical systems.
- Experience leading maintenance teams in a fast-paced production environment.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and safety best practices.
- CMMS experience preferred.
- Technical degree or related experience preferred.
