Custodial Cleaner
Perform all custodial cleanliness tasks and to insure a safe, clean, healthy school campus.
Perform tasks as assigned by Campus Head Custodian.
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Leadership skills to effectively give direction to other employees to insure the completion of all assigned custodial tasks
Read and understand instructions for cleaning, maintenance, and safety procedures
Basic computer skills- understanding district software, approving employee time sheets, submitting work orders and ordering custodial supplies
Communicate verbally and in writing to other staff concerning requirements of the job and other information important to the job
Knowledge of minor repair techniques and building and grounds maintenance
Operate cleaning equipment and lift heavy equipment
Basic understanding of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division to know the proper dilution of chemicals
Frequent standing, sitting, kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
Frequent walking, climbing stairs/ladders, grasping/squeezing, wrist flexion/extension, reaching, and overhead reaching
Heavy lifting and carrying (45 pounds and over) on a daily basis; occasional exertion of a heavy force (50 lbs or greater)
Work outside and inside, on slippery or uneven walking surfaces; frequent exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures, dust, toxic chemicals and materials; exposure to high noise levels; regularly work irregular hours; occasional prolonged hours
Frequent changes in task; maintain emotional control under stress
Regular attendance is an essential function
Custodial experience desired but not required
