This is not a hands-on repair role — this is the person who keeps the entire maintenance operation organized, efficient, and running like a machine. You will own the work order management system, drive PM compliance, coordinate with vendors, and help the team reduce downtime and control costs.
If you love living in a CMMS, analyzing data, and making a maintenance team run better — this role is for you.Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday–FridayResponsibilitiesOwn and manage the work order management system (CMMS) — tracking equipment status, open work orders, and downtimeCoordinate with the maintenance tech team to ensure preventive maintenance (PM) schedules are being followed and completed on timeWork with vendors to schedule repairs, negotiate costs, and drive repair spend downOrder parts and maintain accurate inventory levelsTrack, analyze, and report on equipment downtime, repair costs, and parts spendPartner with the Facilities Manager to identify trends and opportunities to improve equipment uptime and reduce costsMaintain accurate documentation across all maintenance activityRequirements3+ years of hands-on CMMS/work order management system experience — this is the core of the roleExperience in a food production, manufacturing, distribution, or industrial operations environment — requiredStrong vendor management and communication skillsHighly organized, analytical, and data-driven — you will spend the majority of your time on a computerExperience coordinating preventive maintenance schedules for a maintenance or facilities teamProactive, detail-oriented, team-oriented — strong culture fitReliable commute to Brooklyn, NYNice to HaveFamiliarity with Fiix, EAM Infor, FMX, Maximo, or similar CMMS platformsExperience tracking KPIs such as PM compliance, MTBF, and equipment downtimeBackground in food safety compliance (GMP, SQF, HACCP)Compensation: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour
