If you enjoy solving complex mechanical and electrical challenges and take pride in keeping equipment running safely and efficiently, we'd love to have you on our team.Maintenance Mechanic Responsibilities:Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical systems, advanced pneumatics, advanced hydraulics, electrical, and machine drive systemsTroubleshoot PLC programsProvide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production times and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine servicePerform welding activities using arc, mig, and tig welding, and plasma cutting, and oxy-acetylene torch techniques to ensure proper and safe penetrationPerform simple machining duties and responsibilitiesPerform building maintenance duties including but not limited to grounds keeping, snow removal, and building upkeepPrioritize daily work orders/assignments while balancing daily breakdownsInstall machines properly according to manufacturer's specificationsExecute pipefittingAssist in the organization and implementation of the preventative maintenance programRead and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance serviceOperate hand and power tools including, but not limited to air tools, welders, and measuring equipmentRequirements for Maintenance Mechanic:- Associate's degree in a technical field and/or strong knowledge of industrial maintenance normally acquired through two (2) to three (3) years of experience in a similar position required - State indentured apprenticeship as a Journeyman Mechanic strongly preferred - Proven knowledge of basic electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics - Basic knowledge in electro-mechanical, servo controls, VFD and PLC diagnosisIND050 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
