Scope & Responsibilities
- Working manager: lead, mentor, and train the CNC Maintenance Repair Technicians, and determine department manning and training needs
- Coach and administer discipline objectively; manage conflict and direct others
- Maintenance of CNC machining centers
- Hands-on troubleshooting and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment, including fixtures and hydraulics, using hand and power tools; fabricate or repair parts as needed
- PLC, Siemens controller, and electrical troubleshooting
- Create, maintain, and record preventive maintenance on all machines
- Identify root causes of failures and implement corrective actions
- Maintain the building, grounds, and property: structure, plumbing, heating/HVAC, plant electrical, compressed air and compressors, lawn care, snow removal, and security cameras (with IT). Keep the facility clean.
- Troubleshoot and repair facility issues; research and manage facility upgrades and plans that reduce operating costs
- Manage the Lockout-Tagout program and training; own selected elements of the plant safety system
- Own plant environmental compliance, including proper handling of environmental waste
- Monitor the facility to ensure quality standard requirements are met
- Manage and execute the plant capital plan and budget
- Manage performance measurement and analysis systems within scope; bring continuous improvement ideas to reduce costs
Key Selection Criteria
- 5-7 years’ Facilities & Maintenance experience in a production environment.

- 2-5 years of extensive experience in maintenance of CNC machining centers
- 2-3 years of proven PLC and electrical troubleshooting experience
- 2-3 years of proven fixture and troubleshooting experience
- Experience with Siemens Controllers a plus
- Maintenance, electrical, plumbing & heating systems experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
Education Requirements
- Minimum of a High school diploma or GED
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience
- Full proficiency of English Language
- Business Excellence Principles (Lean Manufacturing)
- Thorough understanding of TPM and/or Reliability Work Process including precision, preventive and predictive maintenance experience
- Must be able and willing to work safely, including wearing and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Must have working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel, and the ability to learn various PC based production and operations applications
