Maintenance Manager - Bilingual (English and Spanish)
Worksite: Chicago, IL
Schedule: 1st shift, 5:00 AM to 3:00/4:00 PM
Compensation: $120,000 - $130,000

About the Position
As the Maintenance Manager, you will oversee the entirety of our maintenance operations. Your focus will be on maintaining equipment reliability, executing effective preventive maintenance, and fostering ongoing operational improvements. You will be responsible for mentoring supervisors and technicians, while championing high standards for safety, quality, and output throughout the plant.
Key Duties
You will manage all day-to-day maintenance tasks, encompassing repairs, project execution, preventive maintenance schedules, and the tracking of work orders.
- Design and refine preventive maintenance protocols to minimize equipment outages, prolong machinery lifespan, and guarantee adherence to operational standards.
- Supervise the work order lifecycle by allocating staff, confirming task completion, and managing external vendors for large-scale initiatives.
- Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by conducting regular inspections, safety audits, and staff training sessions.
- Drive operational excellence by implementing process upgrades that boost efficiency, lower expenses, and help the facility meet production targets.
- Maintain oversight of spare parts stock levels, technical documentation, and performance reporting.
- Foster team growth by providing mentorship, facilitating onboarding, and delivering technical instruction to maintenance staff.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates with at least 5 years of experience managing maintenance teams in a manufacturing setting.
- Demonstrated expertise in preventive maintenance frameworks, with a preference for candidates familiar with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Native or professional fluency in both Spanish and English is required.
- Strong capabilities in leadership, organizational management, and complex problem-solving.
