Maintenance ManagerThe Maintenance Manager will oversee all maintenance operations within our food manufacturing facility. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of all plant equipment and infrastructure.Key Responsibilities:Develops, communicates, and fosters group and individual performance plans in alignment with Company culture, goals, and objectivesResponsible for mechanical and electrical systems, preventive maintenance, and team leadership within a regulated food production organizationResponsible for promoting safety awareness and keeping safety as a number one priority daily. Ensure compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations.Ensure the team follows the procedures with controlled documents, initiating change as needed for currency and relevancy, training respective departments on document changes.Responsible for talent selection, onboarding, assimilation, and performance management of team membersEnsure effective and efficient maintenance of the facility with a culture of continuous improvementProvide necessary planning to ensure the reliability of the plant and associated systems by use of predictive and preventative maintenance programs.Actively work to prevent/eliminate hazards that cause injury or illness.Maintain compliance with food safety regulations (e.g., FDA, USDA, SQF, HACCP).Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and vendor relationships.Ensure all equipment (e.g., pasteurizers, vats, packaging machines, refrigeration systems) operates efficiently and safely.Collaborate cross functionally with production and quality teams to minimize downtime and optimize performance.Drive continuous improvement initiatives in equipment reliability and energy efficiency.Perform other job functions related to the position as assigned by managementQualifications & Education:Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial Engineering or related field, and/or equivalent technical certification required, with ten (10) years' experience in a manufacturing environment.Mechanical or advanced technology certifications a plusFood production experience requiredWaste treatment knowledge and experience requiredWorking knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic systems, gas systems, liquid propane, boilers, refrigeration, and air systemsProficiency with Microsoft Office software.Physical Demands and Work Environment:Required to maneuver plant and warehouse workspaces which involve:Continually standing, walking, sitting, talking, or hearing, work around loud machinery and moving parts, utilize hand and finger dexterity, exposed to extreme heat, extreme cold, wet, and/or humid conditions (non-weather), to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel.Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditionsFrequently push, pull, and lift up to fifty pounds safely.
