In this role, you will ensure MultiCare patients and families have the best possible experience when visiting facilities across our health system.ResponsibilitiesEvaluate routine malfunctioning conditions, initiate and perform repairsInstall mechanical and electrical equipment in accordance with diagrams sketches, operational manuals, and manufacturers specificationsPerform routine preventive maintenanceCollaborate with supervisor in obtaining bids and inspections on externally run projectsPartner with a service-oriented attitude and professional integrityRequirementsHigh school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED); or three to six (3-6) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceMust possess a City of Tacoma Chief Operating Engineer LicenseMinimum four (4) years experience working in at least one of the major building trades: Electrical, HVAC, plumbing, commercial carpentryCurrent Washington State Drivers License; and proof of a safe driving record (which meets established MHS Standards) obtained by a motor vehicle report from the appropriate stateAbout Deaconess HospitalFounded in 1896, MultiCare Deaconess Hospital is a 388-bed acute-care hospital serving the greater Spokane region.

As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $34.48 - $46.40 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
