Maintenance ElectricianAs a Maintenance Electrician with BW Papersystems, you would be responsible for assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical and electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, and fixtures across both machinery and facility needs. Day to day, you would troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, work on scheduled projects, change out drives and lighting, and perform maintenance on generators, hydraulics, and pneumatics, ordering parts as needed.Job Responsibilities:Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues by using hand tools and testing instruments to diagnose malfunctioning systems, isolate defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other electrical equipmentAssemble, install, test, and maintain electrical and electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, and fixtures across both machinery and facility needsPerform maintenance on the building, generators, and machines, including changing out drives, lights, and other components as neededWork on hydraulics and pneumaticsDismantle electrical machinery and replace defective electrical or mechanical parts such as gears, brushes, and armaturesMount motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures and complete circuits according to diagram specificationsResearch and configure solutions, estimate time and material costs, and requisition necessary parts and suppliesWork on scheduled projects while also responding to immediate equipment needsInspect completed work for conformance with local building and safety codes, performing all work in accordance with established safety proceduresMentor and provide leadership to peers as needed.Required Education and Work Experience:Journeyman License Required4+ years of experienceAt Barry-Wehmiller we recognize that people come with a wealth of experience and talent beyond just the technical requirements of a job.
