Maintenance Electrician
The Maintenance Electrician maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs production equipment in a high-volume food-processing environment. This role combines strong mechanical aptitude with solid electrical knowledge and experience working with automated systems to keep equipment operating safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot 480V electrical systems in a food processing environment.
- Wire, repair, and install motors, pumps, conveyors, and production equipment.
- Troubleshoot and maintain PLCs, motor controls, VFDs, relays, and sensors.
- Diagnose electrical and control system failures to minimize production downtime.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on industrial food processing equipment.
- Support equipment upgrades, installations, and continuous improvement projects.
- Follow all safety, GMP, and food manufacturing regulations.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bakersfield, CA.
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
