Maintenance Director


Location: Brooklyn, NY
Shift: Full-Time
Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 per year (Based on experience)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Director to oversee the maintenance operations of our healthcare facility. This is a hands-on leadership role for a proactive professional who is comfortable managing a team while actively participating in daily maintenance activities.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Oversee and actively participate in daily maintenance operations, including plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, painting, generators, and general facility repairs.

  • Perform routine inspections to ensure all equipment, systems, and infrastructure are safe, compliant, and operating efficiently.

  • Schedule, supervise, and support maintenance team members to ensure effective coverage and timely completion of tasks.

  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, warranties, preventive maintenance schedules, and facility documentation.

  • Respond promptly and professionally to emergency maintenance situations.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and healthcare facility requirements.

  • Coordinate facility repairs, renovations, upgrades, and installation of new equipment.

  • Monitor maintenance supplies, equipment, and inventory while assisting with budgeting and cost management.

  • Partner with administration and department leaders to maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and facility operations.

  • Communicate effectively through internal communication channels, including team group chats.


Requirements:



  • Must be available 24/7 for emergency maintenance needs.

  • Strong knowledge of building systems, repairs, and general maintenance practices, preferably within a healthcare or skilled nursing environment.

  • Proven leadership skills with a hands-on management style and the ability to lead by example.

  • Ability to independently assess issues, make sound decisions, and resolve problems efficiently.

  • Experience inspecting and maintaining facility infrastructure, equipment, and resident rooms.

  • Ability to manage maintenance supplies, equipment, vendors, and budgets.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and implement new maintenance techniques and technologies.
