Job Location: Churchview Supportive Living - Chicago, IL 60629 Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $60,000.00 - $63,000.00

Responsibilities

Exciting new role for an ambitious Maintenance Director to cover 2 Independent Living Communities - Churchview Manor Apartments and Lawn Terrace Apartments

  • Oversees 2 Independent Community safety program and maintains a secure resident home and working environment in compliance with policy and regulations
  • Sustains a preventative maintenance program to maintain proper functioning of all Community equipment, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
  • Hires, trains, schedules, and leads the maintenance team in providing exceptional services
  • Mechanically repair, replace, and/or install minor equipment, hardware, and controls
  • Maintain water heaters, furnaces, air conditioners, kitchen equipment and associated equipment
  • Maintain community plumbing systems
  • Completes all maintenance requests, both scheduled and emergency, quickly and efficiently
  • Conducts inventory on chemical supplies and complies with proper storage and usage procedures
  • Implements safety protocols and procedures to avert incidents and ensure compliance with OSHA requirements
  • Performs exterior maintenance duties as necessary
  • Delivers fire and disaster education and performs preparation and drill activities with residents and team members
  • Engages with residents in a compassionate and impactful manner, cultivating a warm and supportive environment where the values of love, compassion, and dignity are reflected in every interaction

Qualifications

QualificationsQualifications:

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent required
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Experience in HVAC systems and/or electrical required
  • Prior senior living experience desired
  • Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the readiness to mentor, motivate, and inspire
