Building Engineer AssistantFull-Time - Tuesday-Saturday: 7:00am-4:00pm$22-$24/hour depending on experienceAbout The RoleAs a Building Engineer Assistant at Belmont Village Senior Living, you will provide maintenance assistance and support to the Building Engineer in all areas of general maintenance for the community and grounds. Building Engineer Assistants have knowledge and prior hands-on experience in the areas of general maintenance, basic plumbing, dry wall patching and painting.Your Typical ResponsibilitiesAssist the Building Engineer with preventative and routine maintenance as assigned including basic plumbing repairs, dry wall repairs, painting and general upkeep of the community and groundsMaintain upkeep of common areas, ensure exterior sidewalks are free of debris, and assist with trash removal as neededComplete the apartment make ready process in an efficient and detail oriented mannerSupport resident needs by completing assigned maintenance work order tasks, assist with internal moves as neededAssist with special event set up and clean up as neededMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 1 year of maintenance experience in apartment, senior living, hotel or comparable settingProficient reading, comprehension, writing and mathematical abilityMust be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written EnglishAbility to work assigned shift which may include early morning, evenings, weekends and holidays as neededProfessional, pleasant and team oriented attitudeConsistent and reliable attendance is essential for all Belmont Village employees to ensure the successful operation of the communityAll offers of employment are conditional based on the successful completion of a State and Federal criminal background check, drug screen, job related physical and TB test.Please note that the above Responsibilities and Qualifications provide a general overview of the primary duties for this role and the basic qualifications.
