In this role, you'll help maintain a safe, clean, and secure environment for residents, visitors, and staff by performing preventative maintenance, repairs, facility upkeep, and safety inspections. Our team is known for its collaborative culture, strong resident relationships, and dedication to helping both residents and employees thrive.Responsibilities:Perform preventative maintenance on facility equipment, including patient lifts, oxygen concentrators, suction machines, laundry equipment, wheelchairs, coolers/freezers, and other mechanical systemsComplete building repairs, including painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical work, ceiling tile replacement, and window or screen repairsPerform floor and carpet care using proper equipment and proceduresConduct generator testing, fire drills, fire extinguisher inspections, water temperature checks, and safety inspectionsRespond to maintenance requests and complete work orders in a timely mannerAssist with facility security, grounds maintenance, snow removal, salting, trash removal, and linen collectionPerform basic mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment, washers, dryers, and HVAC componentsTransport staff using facility vehicles when assigned, ensuring compliance with all NYS motor vehicle regulationsMaintain a safe, organized work environment and promptly report maintenance concerns and safety hazardsAttend department meetings and perform additional duties as assignedRequirements:Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree preferredMinimum experience requirement: 1 year of experience in a maintenance position; 2 years of maintenance experience in a residential building preferredValid NYS Driver's License requiredWorking knowledge of residential or light commercial electrical systems and circuitsSkills in painting, drywall repair, wallpaper installation, and basic carpentryBasic mechanical and HVAC maintenance knowledgeStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to climb ladders and work on rooftops when necessaryAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesStrong communication, teamwork, and customer service skillsProfessional, dependable, and safety-focused approach to workBenefits:Paid Time Off (PTO) for Full-Time and Part-TimeWeekly or Same-Day Pay OptionsHealth, Dental, and Vision InsuranceLife InsuranceEmployee Referral Bonus ProgramRetirement Saving OptionsEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
