Maintenance Administrative AssistantThe Maintenance Administrative Assistant provides office administrative support to Bus Maintenance management, supervisors and forepersons by performing office administrative and clerical duties pertaining to buses, vehicles and employees. In addition, this position will provide assistance to employees regarding forms, policies and procedures, liaison, general company and department functions. Hire: $24.53 hourly After year one: $28.03 hourly After year two: $31.54 hourly After year three: $35.04 hourly Hourly Pay Range: For candidates newly hired into the Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) contract, starting wage is set by the ATU contract. Internal hires will follow Metropolitan Council's union wage guidelines.Office Administrative Procedures:Performs data entry as assigned.Creates business correspondence, letters and memos.Closes maintenance work orders in TxBase (computer system).Maintains files (paper and electronic) of vehicles, mileage reports and gas receipts.Post service bulletins, employee information reports and all job postings.Processes incoming mail and prepares outgoing mail.Processes and forwards personnel records to appropriate location for transferring employees and set-up files for new incoming personnel.Payroll duties:Reviews and verifies employee time entries for accuracy daily and edits as appropriate.Monitors and posts data within the timekeeping system for accurate bi-weekly payroll and attendance tracking.Interpersonal Communication:Communicates with other facilities and departments as required or directed.Provides and assists employees with forms such as vacation, sick leave, etc.Answers telephones.Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.What education and experience are required for this job (minimum qualifications):High school diploma/GED or higher.Two (2) years or more of office administrative experience.
