A company in Grand Rapids is seeking a Maintenance Technician
Day shift: Sat-Mon or Fri -Sun 7am-7pm
$28-$32/ hour
paid for 40 hours if work 36 hours, over 40 hours a week = OT

- Execute preventive maintenance (PM) tasks as scheduled in the CMMS.
- Troubleshoot and repair basic mechanical and electrical issues on equipment.
- Perform machining operations using lathes, mills, drill presses, and band saws.
- Complete fabrication and assembly projects, including welding and bolted structures.
- Accurately document maintenance activities and work orders in the CMMS.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas following 5S standards.
- Follow all company health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Support additional maintenance tasks and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills across departments.
- High attention to detail and ability to complete tasks accurately and on time.
- Understanding of maintenance operations within a manufacturing setting.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical certification or a minimum of 2 years of related experience preferred.
Technical Skills
- Basic math skills for measurements and fabrication.
- Proficiency using a CMMS for data entry and work order tracking.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment using logical problem-solving methods.
Forklift (Hilo) operator certification. Scissor lift certification.
