Details:
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead technical development across a distributed mainframe environment
- Collaborate with onshore and offshore engineering teams
- Partner with product owners, business analysts, and QA teams throughout the SDLC
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and resolve complex issues
- Ensure quality delivery that meets business and regulatory requirements
- Mentor and guide junior engineers
- Identify opportunities to automate processes and streamline testing
- Participate in knowledge transfer to strengthen team capabilities
Must-Have Skills
- 14+ years in mainframe technologies: COBOL, JCL, DB2, Datacom, VSAM, SQL, SQL Stored Procedures, Messaging Queues, CICS, Easytrieve, SORT utilities. (at the very least 12 years here per Alex)
- 7+ years with scheduling/tools: Control‑M, ChangeMan, FileAid, Xpeditor, Startool, TOAD, SPUFI
- 4+ years in financial services, ideally with DTCC or SEC exposure
- 2+ years in brokerage, custody, or settlements
- Deep Agile knowledge (JIRA, Rally) and strong RCA/debugging skills
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership presence (Level 59)

- Experience in financial services with revenue‑generating teams
- Leading cross‑functional initiatives and knowledge transfer
- Strong ability to manage multiple priorities independently in fast‑paced environments
