Mainframe Assembler DeveloperGenesis10 is currently seeking a Mainframe Assembler Developer for a hybrid position (3 days onsite per week) with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC or Addison, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.This role is responsible for supporting and enhancing a mission-critical legacy application written in IBM z/OS assembler language. The ideal candidate will be a self-sufficient engineer capable of independently analyzing, maintaining, and improving high-volume, high-availability batch processing systems. This position requires deep expertise in core mainframe technologies and familiarity with parallel sysplex environments within a regulated financial services environment.Responsibilities:Analyze, maintain, and improve high-volume, high-availability batch processing systemsWork independently to support and enhance mission-critical legacy applicationsAnalyze complex assembler codebases in loosely documented environmentsDiagnose and resolve critical production issues quicklyRequirements:8+ years of experience in IBM Mainframe application development and production supportStrong hands-on expertise in Assembler (HLASM) programming, JCL development, troubleshooting, GDGs, and batch processingProven experience with Connect:Direct (NDM), ISPW (or equivalent), CA7 scheduling, TSO/ISPF, and GitHub CoPilotDemonstrated experience supporting high-volume financial transaction systems and production batch environments with strict SLAsExperience working in high-availability environments, including Sysplex architectures and multiple LPARsSolid understanding of Mainframe datasets, VSAM, utilities, production support processes, and incident managementExperience using ServiceNow and/or RemedyDesired skills:Experience in financial services or banking environmentsPrior experience with check processing, image item processing, or payment processing platformsExperience supporting high-volume, high-throughput transaction systems and mission-critical applicationsFamiliarity with SMP/E for system maintenance and SAR for reportingExperience supporting assembler applications during platform upgrades or compatibility changesPay range: $55.07 - $63.07 per hourOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!Ranked a Top Staffing Firm in the U.S. by Staffing Industry Analysts for six consecutive years, Genesis10 puts thousands of consultants and employees to work across the United States every year in contract, contract-for-hire, and permanent placement roles.
