To support a client's mainframe application needs, the contract Mainframe Application Developer will design, develop, enhance, and maintain applications using COBOL and PL/I while working remotely for a duration of 12 months. Key responsibilities: Design and maintain mainframe applications, utilizing technologies such as IMS DB/DC, DB2, and CICS Manage production jobs and perform source-code management using Endevor and CA Jobtrac Troubleshoot production issues and conduct root-cause analysis to ensure system reliability and performance Required qualifications: 5+ years of professional experience in mainframe application development with COBOL and/or PL/I Strong proficiency in JCL development and complex batch-processing environments Experience with database management, including SQL development and DB2 performance tuning Familiarity with mainframe-to-distributed system integration technologies Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred
