Maine Pharmacy PA Technician

Supporting the prior authorization and appeals process, the remote Senior Pharmacy PA/Appeals Technician will manage high volumes of inquiries and requests, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance while working a full-time schedule from Maine or Vermont. Key responsibilities Manage inbound and outbound calls, averaging 50+ daily, while providing professional service to members and healthcare providers Review and process prior authorization requests, ensuring completeness and compliance with regulatory requirements Research and verify information related to medications, benefits, and eligibility to resolve prior authorization questions Required qualifications Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician licensure or certification as required by the state of residence 6+ months of experience in customer service or healthcare-related roles Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word Ability to work an 8-hour shift Monday - Friday between 8am - 8pm EST, with rotating weekend responsibilities Currently located in Maine or Vermont
