Mail Inserter / Machine Operator / Production WorkerAs a Mail Inserter / Machine Operator / Production Worker, you come to work armed with energy, wit, and the willingness to pitch in with the team. Most of your time is spent setting up and operating our mail inserter machine in accordance with each order's specifications. Throughout your shift, you verify order information on audit sheets, complete maintenance logs, and report inserter downtime as required.You are highly motivated to meet or exceed our production and quality standards, schedules, and deadlines.

You enjoy working with your hands and identifying mechanical problems when they occur, troubleshooting to keep production progressing to achieve service levels. Always up for a challenge, you perform moderately complex product change-over activities. As a team player, you also assist with handwork and reprints when needed.

At the end of your shift, you are filled with a sense of satisfaction for a job well done!RequirementsOperate mail inserter machines (BlueCrest/Pitney Bowes experience preferred but not required)Demonstrated ability to follow and adhere to safety requirementsVerify order information on audit sheetsSet up mail inserter in accordance with specificationsMeet production and quality standards, schedules, and deadlinesTroubleshoot mechanical issuesKnowledge in basic math, fractions, and percentagesConfident with computers and technologyMechanically inclinedFrequently able to lift 10-50 lbs and bend, push, and pull cartsAbility to stand for 8-12 hours, or per shift 8, 10, 12Perform moderately complex product change-over activitiesComplete maintenance logs and report inserter downtime as requiredMaintain cleanlinessAdditional tasks could include handwork and reprintsExperience working with mail inserting equipment is required.Maine Law 26 M.R.S. § 620-AWe are required to notify employees and applicants that MPX and SFX America utilize video monitoring equipment in our Portland, ME and LaVergne, TN locations. Cameras are located throughout the buildings and are designed to capture movement between locked areas that require badge access, both ingress and egress from the building and internally between MPX and SFX in order to capture who is coming and going from the building including personnel and/or visitors.

In addition, cameras are pointed at areas where physical media is being handled. Access is restricted to authorized personnel based on their role, and MPX maintains documented physical security controls within its IT Policy that govern facility access, visitor management, and video surveillance.
