Mail Delivery Driver / Production Shop Assistant

Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM
Schedule: Full-time; occasional overtime required
Location: Arlington, TX

We are a small, veteran- and woman-owned direct mail company looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Mail Delivery Driver / Production Shop Assistant to join our team long-term.

This is not just a driving position. You will be an important part of our daily production team, helping prepare customer mailings and making sure completed jobs are delivered to the Post Office correctly and on time.

Primary Responsibilities

• Drive our 26-foot box truck to the Post Office for daily mail deliveries
• Safely load and unload trays, tubs, boxes, and other mailing materials
• Make sure the correct jobs, paperwork, and mail are loaded for each postal run
• Complete the daily Post Office run; while our normal hours end at 4:30 PM, some days may run later and you must be available to stay until the mail run is completed
• Assist with production work throughout the day when not making deliveries
• Fold, insert, sort, bundle, label, and prepare mail pieces
• Help run and monitor basic production jobs and equipment after training
• Check work for accuracy and quality
• Assist with general shop duties and whatever is needed to keep jobs moving and completed on time
• Keep the truck and work areas clean and organized

We need someone who is:

• Dependable and punctual
• Detail-oriented with a good eye for catching mistakes
• Comfortable driving a 26-foot box truck
• Able to safely load, unload, lift, carry, and move mail and materials
• Willing to learn different parts of the direct-mail production process
• Able to follow instructions and work independently when needed
• Flexible and willing to help wherever needed
• Comfortable with a job that can be fast-paced when deadlines are approaching
• Available to work past 4:30 PM when necessary to complete the day’s Post Office run
• Looking for a stable, long-term position , not simply a temporary job or steppingstone
